Wrap Up: Read in January, February & March 2016

The first quarter of 2016 have been filled with books. I've never read so much in my life! Here's a wrap up of what I've read in the first three months on 2016.

I have never read this much in my life! I set my Goodreads Challenge to 25  books in 2016, knowing I’ll probably pick up a book every few weeks, but I was so wrong! In the first quarter of this year I’ve been reading pretty much nonstop. I thought it would be fun to share the books I read in the first three months of 2016. This Book Wrap-up includes 11 books!

The Selection by Kiera Cass
I started this on December 31st in 2015, but since I read like half of it in 2016, it counts as a 2016 book! This was a reread for me, in Dutch this time. I found it on iBooks for only 99 cents and since I was dying to read The Selection again, I couldn’t resist getting it!

Goodreads Review

Angelfall & World After by Susan Ee
My first review (and full book) of the year was Angelfall by Susan Ee. If you’ve read my review, you know  I absolutely loved it! It’s such an amazing book and the review is one of my favourite reviews I’ve written. The last book I read was its sequel, World After. A review of that will be up soon.

Angelfall Review

Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter
The first few weeks of January were full of eBooks! I discovered the Dutch Amazon Kindle and found some really great cheap reads, including this one. I haven’t written a blog review, but I did rate it on Goodreads. I’m not sure whether or not I’ll be continuing the series, but it was nice to read something different from the stuff I usually read.

Goodreads Review

City of Bones, City of Ashes & City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
The reason I read this much is probably the Mortal Instruments. I quite literally flew through the first three books because I love(d) them so much! I’ve done reviews on all three books and City of Glass is definitely my favourite (so far!).

City of Bones | City of Ashes | City of Glass

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
I’m reading The Shadowhunter Chronicles in the order that Cassandra recommends on her website. (TMI part 1, TID, TMI part 2) So after City of Glass I started Clockwork Angel. It’s quite a bit different from TMI, but really good! I’ve done reviews of all the Infernal Devices books!

Clockwork Angel | Clockwork Prince | Clockwork Princess

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
When I was travelling to Austria in February I wanted something to read while waiting for my trains, busses and flights, but a physical book wouldn’t fit in my bag. So I went for an eBook. I was lucky and had a free month on Scribd, so I took my iPad and quite a few saved books, including Throne of Glass. I planned on reading the rest of the series, but I was too busy, and also still reading Clockwork Princess. I’ll definitely read the rest of the series sometime, because I really loved it. I didn’t review it, but I did rated it 5/5 on Goodreads.

I did not write a review for this book, but I might do one in the future.

TBR Q2
Some of the books I’m planning to read in the three upcoming months are The Mirror King by Jodi Meadows, Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling (Finally! Better late than never, right?!) and Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. I also plan on finishing my current reads and to finally get City of Lost Souls (it’s the only TMI book that I can’t find in the right edition!).

Current Reads
I’ve never read so many books at once! Or more like put them on hold, hahah! The first one I’m going to finish is City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare. The others on my Currently Reading shelf are Allegiant by Veronica Roth, The Iron King by Julie Kagawa (both rereads) and The Violet Blake Series by Bre Faucheux, which I got as an eArc a few months ago!

Would you like to see me do another Book Wrap-up again for April, May and June? What books have you read this year? What are you planning to read? Let me know in the comments!
