This wrap up is a bit weird. I originally planned to do quarterly wrap ups, because I thought I wasn’t reading that much. Turns out, it’s actually getting very out of hand. Over the past two months, I have read 16 books. SIXTEEN BOOKS! Guys! That’s ridiculous! Alright, two of them are novella’s and a few of them are rereads, but that’s crazy! Before I had to put more books in this post, I decided to just post it. I’m going to do monthly wrap ups and TBRs from now on!
City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls & City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare
I started reading The Mortal Instruments back in January and in May I finished reading all the books! The first three books in the series were definitely better than the last three, but I enjoyed them all anyway! In my TBR, I mentioned I wanted to get the right edition of City of Lost Souls, but I still haven’t been able to find it. Instead, I just went with the version my bookshop sold!
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
I helped my brother with his graduation paper for high school and got a book gift card as a present when we finished it! I was going to get Ice Like Fire by Sarah Raasch as a hardcover, but it sold out. Instead, I got it in paperback and with the money I had left, I got this one. I was a little disappointed, but it wasn’t too bad.
The Violet Blake Series by Bre Faucheux
I got an eARC for this back in January, so technically I read this in both Q1 and Q2, but I finished it in April and I absolutely loved it! I recommend everyone to read this, even if you usually don’t read eBooks because it’s amazing.
Ice Like Fire, Icicles Like Kindling & Flames Like Vines by Sara Raasch
Like I mentioned before, I got Ice Like Fire with a gift card my little brother gave me! It’s such an amazing book and I’m glad I finally got to read it! I once found the free prequel Icicles Like Kindling, but completely forgot about it! Ice Like Fire reminded me of it, so I finally read it! Although it’s technically not a full book, I added it to my Reading Challenge anyway. I also finally read Flames Like Vines! I didn’t want to read it before I finished Ice Like Fire, so I read it right after finishing it!
The Mirror King by Jodi Meadows
I waited for this book for so long! Or actually, not that long compared to people who read The Orphan Queen when it came out instead of November, hehe! It only took me two days to finish it once my preorder arrived and I love it so, so much!
The Iron King & The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa
The Iron King was a reread, which I started in like January or maybe even December (oops!) But I finally took some time to finish it! Then I realised how badly I wanted to continue the series and got The Iron Daughter! I haven’t done a blog review for either, but you can find my short reviews on Goodreads
A Thousand Pieces Of You & Ten Thousand Skies Above You by Cladia Gray
I’ve read A Thousand Pieces Of You three times total now! It’s one of my favourite books, but I hadn’t reviewed it yet. I reread it again to finally write a good review and just because I really wanted to read it again. Ten Thousand Skies Above You was also a reread!
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
I’m actually really disappointed in this book… Contrary to what most people think about. I never rated a book so low! I’m glad I still read it, but I won’t be rereading it or continuing on in the series.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone & Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
I finally read Harry Potter! I have to be brutally honest and say that I don’t really understand the hype. I absolutely love the books and the movies, but I know so many other books that would be great! Of course, I only read the first two books, but I’m sure I’ll love it even more once I continue with the series!
I’m currently sort of reading Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl! Okay, that sounded a bit weird, hehe! I’ve read this book so many times, and I wanted to read it again! Problem is, it’s putting me in a bit of a reading slump. I do want to try and finish it, though, but maybe it’s better if I just put it back on the shelf…
