Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Reasons I Love Throne of Glass

Here's ten reasons I love Throne of Glass!Since I’m currently reading the Throne of Glass series and I’m absolutely loving it, I decided to make this week’s Top Ten Tuesday all about it! (Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish!) This week’s topic is “Reasons I love X.” I thought of about a hundred different topics, made a few lists and in the end decided to delete them all! Finally, I came to the conclusion Throne of Glass would be a great topic, so here it is: ten reasons I love Throne of Glass!

Ten Reasons I Love X — could be a certain book, character, author, your indie bookstore, a fandom, a tv show, reading, a hobby, a genre. Honestly anything you want to gush about.

1. The Books

Okay, this seems beyond obvious, but have you seen the stunning and beautiful hardcover editions of the series!? I’m all heart eyes for them and they look amazing on my shelf.

2. The Map

I am kind of obsessed with maps in books,  so Throne of Glass having this gorgeous map is definitely a reason why I love this series so much.

3. The Love Triangle

Anyone who’s read my reviews knows I’m really annoyed with love triangles! Like, so annoyed they bother me sometimes. Celaena, Dorian and Chaol are like my all time favourite love triangle, though! (Next to Tessa, Will and Jem from The Infernal Devices).

4. The Plot

I LOVE the plot. I’m reading Throne of Glass for the second time in three months but it never bores me!  It still all very mysterious and fun.

5. The Mystery

Like I said, I’m rereading it now. But a lot of things are still a mystery to me! I’m getting towards the end of the book now, so I’m starting to remember things, but I was a little oblivious before I got to this point, hehe!

6. The Fantasy

I’m a sucker for fantasy and to my opinion, Throne of Glass is really one of the better fantasy books. I love how I can’t say the world is historical or futuristic or dystopian because it’s a fantasy world! I LOVE the history too, like, I could read a history book about Erilea!

7. The Series

I’ve only read Throne of Glass so far, but books three to four are on my shelf, waiting to be read! I would’ve cried if this it was a standalone, really!

8. The Intimidating Sizes

The hardcover editions are big! Since I’ve started reading more, big books intimidate me a whole lot. Thing is, though, that I’m always so proud of myself for finishing such a massive book! I’ve gotten so far in Throne of Glass in a few days, while also taking enough time to enjoy reading it and it’s so much fun!

9. The Chapter Pages

I don’t know if these things have an actual name, but I love the start of new chapters. It’s not that special, but looks super pretty!

10. More books!

There’s still two more books coming! There’s also still three unread Throne of Glass books on my shelf… Hehe! I’m loving the cover or Empire of Storms and I cannot wait to see what book six will be like!

What topic did you pick for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday?

  • Lillian

I LOVE this series!!! If you like the love triangle aspect, just wait till you get to books 3 and 4. I thought I would die! Hope you continue to love the series. It really is one of the best fantasy series out there IMHO 😀
    My TTT

    • Ooooohhhh I really can’t wait for book 3 and 4 now! Luckily they’re all on my shelf waiting to be read, hehe!

  • Jen @ BookLoversAlliance

I just read Throne of Glass last month and I LOVED IT SO MUCH! I don’t know why I kept putting it off, but I’m glad I finally picked it up. I ordered the second book and now I’m just waiting (somewhat) patiently for it to come in. 🙂

    • I hope you’ll get it soon! I ordered book one to four at once so I didn’t have to wait, haha!

  • Jo Elliott
    • Thank you! 🙂

  • Fun topic, Ayla! I’m still ALL TOO AWARE of how badly these books are “must reads” for me. I have a few, so one of these days I simply MUST begin the journey. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland.

    • Haha, it took a while before I started the series! Throne of Glass was on my TBR for soooooo long before I started, but I’m glad I finally did! 😉

  • I’ve haven’t read it yet! It’s on my TBR, though! 🙂

  • Meg @ Megnificent Books

You really make a girl want to read a Sarah J. Maas book!

    • Haha! I hope you get to read one soon, her books are amazing!

  • Maps are the thing I miss most now that I do the majority of my reading via audiobooks. Thankfully many authors put their maps online.

    My TTT list

    • I just started listening to my first audiobook and I completely understand! I wish they made posters of maps, I’d cover my room in them, hahah!

      • I hope you like the audiobook. Maps make great decor.
