Top Ten Tuesday: Favourite 2016 Releases So Far

Last week was all about my most anticipated releases for the second half of 2016, but this week is all about my favourite releases so far!Last week was all about my most anticipated reads for the second half of 2016, but this week’s Top Ten Tuesday (created by the lovely people over at The Broke and the Bookish) is all about my favourite releases so far! I’ve barely read books that came out this year, but I have quite a few that I’m really excited about.

Top Ten Favorite 2016 Releases So Far This Year

1. The Mirror King by Jodi Meadows

This is the only 2016 release I’ve read so far! It’s definitely one of my favourite books and definitely my favourite release of 2016 (so far)!

2. Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

I started reading the Shadowhunter Chronicles this year and I was so excited about this one! Then City of Heavenly Fire put me off a bit, and the size started intimidating me and I left it for later. I’m still really excited about this, though. I might read this one in the summer!

3. Ruined by Amy Tintera

This one is up high on my TBR! I came across it on Twitter one day and I was like “I need this book!” I’m hoping to read this one soon!

4. A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

I haven’t read A Court of Thorns and Roses yet, but I love Throne of Glass and really want to read the ACOTAR series! Sarah J. Maas is one of my favourite authors, so I’m really excited to dive into this series sometime.

5. The Crown by Kiera Cass

I completely forgot this released this year, even though I listened to it as audiobook like a week ago… Hahah! I’m still going to read the actual book someday, but I loved it so much. It was a great end to The Selection series.

6. The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye

This seems to be a bit like Throne of Glass in Russia, and I fell a bit in love with Russia since I read A Thousand Pieces of You, so I kinda really want to read this!

7. My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows

For some reason, I don’t really know what to think of this book… But I’m excited nonetheless! It might be a while until I read it, but I do plan on getting it sometime.

8. Dreamology by Lucy Keating

Every time I see this book on Twitter or Instagram (or anywhere, really) I’m like “I need to check this out!” And so I finally did. I seriously doubt I’ll be reading it anytime soon, but it seems like interesting!

9. The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The only ARC I’ve ever requested was this one. I don’t know why since I’m never really that interested in Contemporary, but this one seems like a really good one. My favourite bookshop actually tweeted a photo which showed this one on display, so I might actually go get it soon.

10. The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater

I’ve only read the Raven Boys recently, but I loved it a lot. I love series with four books (does it even have a name?!) So I can’t wait to read all the books in The Raven Cycle!
