Top Ten Tuesday: My TBR From Before I Started Blogging

A bookworm's TBR is endless, especially when you run a book blog! There's too many books and too little time. Here's my TBR for before I started my blog!Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week is all about books that were on my TBR since before I started blogging! I’m changing the topic a little bit, because I don’t have much on my TBR! As you all might know, my TBR is really short, and I’m very selective about what makes it to my TBR and what doesn’t. I just made a list of books I wanted to read before I started blogging, except they’re not on my TBR anymore!

Ten Books That Have Been On Your Shelf (Or TBR) From Before You Started Blogging That You STILL Haven’t Read Yet

1. The Vampire Diaries: The Return: Destiny Rising by L. J. Smith

I was a huge Vampire Diaries fan. I read the series when I was in high school and I loved it! Unfortunately, the series was written by a ghost writer later one, and I just grew up. I wasn’t interested anymore. I remember not being able to get this book in the edition that I had the rest of the series, and I never picked it up once I found it! I did pick it up as ebook once, but never finished it.

2. The House of Night Series by P.C. & Kristin Cast

I started the series once, but then I lost track of what books I’d read and which once I didn’t read yet, and never continued! The series has so many books now, that I never reread them and continued!

3. The Chemical Garden Trilogy by Lauren DeStefano

I read Wither years ago, and even though it was mildly disturbing to me back then, I still wanted to read the rest of the series! These days, I barely even remember what it’s about, so I’m not all that interested anymore.

4. Fallen by Lauren Kate

Before I was really into books and I was just the occasional reader, the Fallen series seemed so good to me! Then I started reading more, and I started a blog and my TBR grew, and grew, and grew… I just lost interest!

5. The Secret Circle by L. J. Smith

This used to be so high up on my TBR back in the day! Before I even knew what a TBR was, hehe! It was kinda like the Vampire Diaries. The show got me into the book, except I never read the Secret Circle.

6. The Lying Game by Sara Shepard

Like the Secret Circle, this is one of those book series I got into because of the TV show, but never actually read.

7. Beastly by Alex Flinn

I saw the movie trailer for this movie adaptation and was interested from the very start. When I found the book, I knew I had to read it some day! Weird thing is, I never watched the movie, and I never read the book!

8. Gone Series by Michael Grant

I got the first Gone book in Dutch Pocket edition for like €3. It was such a long time ago that I don’t think I even read English books at that point! The next books in the series were €20 each, and that put me off. I could reread it and continue in English if I want, but they don’t interest me as much as they used to.

9. The Nine Lives of Chloe King by Liz Braswell/Celia Thomson

Another one of those “I watched it on TV so now I have to read about it!” books. I mentioned it’s written by two authors because it’s seriously a mystery as to who really wrote it. It could be the same person except under a pen name. Anyway, like the other books, I’m not that interested anymore!

10. If I Stay by Gayle Forman

This is the exception to all the other books I mentioned since I’m still very interested in this one! I’ve been wanting to read it since I watched the movie, but since I’m more a fantasy reader than a contemporary person, I haven’t picked it up yet!

Is there any book that’s been on your TBR for a long time that you haven’t picked up yet?

  • I’ve already read three of these on here! You should definitely pick up the first book in the The Secret Circle. So good!

    • I really want to! I LOVED the TV show and I kinda miss it so maybe I should pick it up soon!

  • I actually really like Beastly and the movie even though it’s not the best movie in the world lol!

    • I still haven’t seen the movie either! The movie is what made me want to read it but then I never ended up reading and watching it, haha!
