September TBR

September TBRI’m sorry I’m so late with my TBR! Like I said yesterday. (or did I only say it in my Instagram post today?) life is pretty crazy, so blogging wasn’t really a priority. I was quite literally in shock when I typed “September TBR” in the title bar. September!? Already?! I started book blogging in January and started my book-only blog in May. Time goes so fast! September is going to be a pretty great reading month, even though I’ll be busy with work and college. I ordered a bunch of books last month that I’ll be getting and reading in September, plus there’s a really exciting release that I’ve preordered!

August Wrap Up

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

Let’s just start off with my preordered release! I’m beyond excited to be reading Empire of Storms! It’ll be out on the 6th and then it’s going to take about 10 days to get it, but I can’t wait to read it! I’m really upset about being spoiled, though! Some bookshops have been selling it way before release and people are already spoiling!

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas

I’ve only read Queen of Shadows a month or two ago, but I really need to catch up on what happened! I’ve read sooooo many books in between this one and EoS that I don’t really remember a lot. Depening on how much time I have, I might reread it as a whole, but I might just skim through… Not sure yet!

This Savage Song by Victoria/V.E. Schwab

I ordered this one from Book Depository last month and I cannot wait to read it! I’ve heard such great things about Victoria’s books and This Savage Song seems like such an interesting read!

Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch

When I was taking the photo, I felt like I didn’t have enough books for the entire month, so I randomly decided to add Show Like Ashes to my TBR. I already read it, but with the release of Frost Like Night, I really want to reread it again!

Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling

Over the past few months, I started reading Harry Potter! I’ve fallen into a rhythm of ‘one book a month’ and I’ve been really loving it! I’ve read the Mortal Instruments in one go and I realise I shouldn’t have done that! I’m getting a new Harry Potter book each month, and it’s great! Since I read book three in August, it’s time for book four in September! I’m not sure if I can actually get this one, but I really hope I do!

Vermist by Iris Boter

Vermist (meaning “missing”) is a Dutch book that I got from the publisher I work at! I’m trying to read more Dutch books, and this one I’ll hopefully be reading this month. I can’t really figure out what it’s about exactly, but it seems to be a little like Rainbow Rowell’s ‘Carry On’ with the whole reality/fantasy thing! I’m only like three chapters in, so I don’t really know what to think yet.

A Court of Mist & Fury by Sarah J Maas (Dutch Edition)

I read ACOMAF only last month, but the publisher I’m interning at publishes the Dutch edition and since I want to read more Dutch books, why not read my favourite book again? Apparently, it’s really well translated, so I’m curious! I hope that maybe I can read A Court of Thorns and Roses in Dutch as well, but we’ll see what happens!

The funny thing about working at a publisher is how easily my TBR can change! I’ve been getting quite a few books so far and I’m trying to alternate between reading Dutch and English. It’s kind of a surprise what I actually end up reading and I’m excited! Also, you might notice Frost Like Night by Sarah Raasch isn’t on here! I’ve preordered the book, but preorders from Amazon Germany take about a week/ten days to be delivered, plus I won’t be home during the week so this one will have to wait ’till October!

What’s on your September TBR?
