September Wrap Up

September wrap upWell… This is probably the most difficult and weird-ish wrap up ever. Let me tell you a story: when I started doing wrap ups, I used to start the wrap up post as soon as I finished the first book of the month. Then the rollercoaster called “life” happened and I’ve barely done anything for the blog. I didn’t even know what books I read this month without checking Goodreads… Yeah, it’s that bad. Aaaanyway, here’s the books I read in September! Spoiler alert: It’s very different from my September TBR and it’s probably the least I’ve read since I started blogging in May.

The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
The Raven King isn’t in my August Wrap Up or September TBR because I sort of forgot… I think? Guys, I honestly don’t even remember when I read this. Apparently, according to Goodreads, I read this from August 29th to September 1st, which makes sense. But seriously, asdfgjkl, I have a love/hate relationship with this book. I’ll talk all about it in my review, once it’s up hopefully sometime this month.

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
Empire of Storms came out on the 5th and I wasn’t going to read it until like almost two weeks later because my preorder would be taking that long to be delivered. Then I moved into my new room closer to internship and I felt like crap. I felt awful, homesick and for a moment there I really regretted my decision to move out. When I woke up on the 5th, I knew I needed something to get me through the first week, so I got the Kindle edition and started reading right away! It took me two weeks, but it was absolutely amazing!

Frost Like Night by Sara Raasch
Technically, I finished this one on October 1st, but since I’m late with my wrap up I decided to include it anyway. Frost Like Night was a preorder that I got earlier than expected! I’m so sad about this being the end to the Snow Like Ashes trilogy, but I’m excited at the same time! It was a very satisfying ending for me, so I’m very happy about it!

Current Reads
I actually read more than just those three books this month! I started reading Mislukt by Iris Boter (a Dutch book!) and Vermist by Helen Vreeswijk (also a Dutch book!) and I’m technically┬ástill in the middle of Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi, but I might actually DNF it, since it’s an eBook on Scribd and it’s really just not interesting me enough to continue.

What did you read in August? Tell me in the comments, or leave a link to you wrap up and I might check it out!

  • I still have to read Frost Like Night, but I’m so happy to hear that the ending was satisfying! I don’t want this series to be over, though čÖü Happy October, Ayla!

    • Happy October to you as well! čÖé

I hope you enjoy Frost Like Night! I’m so sad about it being over, but I’m glad about how it ended, it’s really unexpected!
