I’ve been wanting to get a book box for literally ages, and I finally got my first one yesterday! I was so incredibly excited I forgot to take off my coat before unboxing it… Oops! The theme for the very first English Celebrate Books box is ‘Read Like A Royal.’ Since I’m absolutely obsessed with royalty in YA, of course I had to get it! This box was definitely worth the wait and the money. I’m so happy with everything that I got and I cannot wait to share it with you! Spoiler alert: This post contains all that was in the ‘Read Like A Royal’ box!
Maybe I should explain what Celebrate Books is, before I dive into the unboxing itself! Obviously, it’s a book box. But it’s kinda special, because it’s the first one in the Netherlands and Belgium! The first box went on sale in April 2016 and until ‘Read Like A Royal’ they only put Dutch books in their boxes. Just like Owlcrate or Fairy Loot, the box has a theme, a book and some awesome goodies. Usually, the book is a surprise, but for the last few boxes they’ve announced the book. For their (already sold out) Christmas boxes you could pick one out of three boxes and the book for January is announced as well.
Alrighty, time for the unboxing!
Oh, I’m sorry! You expected all the good stuff in the first picture…? Hehe, nope! I’m gonna keep you waiting a little bit longer. I’m so mean, omg… The first two items in the box are both from the Dutch publisher Blossom Books. It’s a tissue box (great for all the tears shed while reading – they’ll keep your book dry!) and a ruled notebook with “Once upon a time…” on the cover! They’re both mint green and I’m obsessed with notebooks! Of course tissues are always a good idea, so I’m loving these items!
We’re getting closer to the reveil of the book! Just not yet… hehe! Can you guess what book’s in the box? There’s a Court of Thorns & Roses button/pin, a tiny bookmark with the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and in the bag there’s a little mirror with an illustration by Dutch blogger Emmy from Zonenmaan.net, and it’s so cute! There’s also two beads attached to the bag! One is the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and the other is a tiny key with a heart shape. I’m definitely going to use the bookmark!
And by now you know what book is in the box…! There’s a signed quote card, a letter from Marissa Meyer and a magnetic Heartless bookmark! FINALLY! I FINALLY HAVE A MAGNETIC BOOKMARK! Also, the back of the card with the bookmark has a recipe for chocolate bars, which I’ll definitely make sometime! I literally stopped writing this post to convert all the measurements and put them in the notebook… lol!
TAAADAAAAA! The book in November’s Celebrate Books box is Heartless by Marissa Meyer! I nearly started screaming when I opened the box and realised there was a hardcover inside. Either I missed it or it was never announced, but I didn’t know there would be a hardcover! I don’t think I would ever get the book myself, but now I’ve got it, I actually cannot wait to read it! Apparently, Heartless is all about Catherine, who eventually becomes the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland. It sounds really interesting! If you haven’t heard about Heartless before, check it out on Goodreads!

Making this list I’m actually so surprised by how much is in it! Although I used to think these boxes are quite pricey, it’s definitely worth it! There’s exclusive items in here I didn’t even know existed! And an autograph! I want to keep shouting! This box is amazing! EEEPPPP!
