Oh my goodness, it has been for-e-ver since I’ve done a TBR! That was mostly because over the last few months, I didn’t really plan ahead my reading and I just picked up whatever I bought or took from my internship office. But now internship is over (I’M NOT CRYING. YOU’RE CRYING!) and my deadlines are super close which means I’ll be done with college in a week. It’s time to start my monthly TBRs again!
A Court of Wings & Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
EEEEKKK! Happy Book Birthday to Sarah J. Maas! Unfortunately, I don’t think the copy I preordered was shipped (I’m writing this at 3AM on May 2nd and the webshop I preordered at still has it on “processing”), but I’m over the moon excited to read ACOWAR! I don’t want it to end. Like. Ever. I’m currently about 200 pages in, but I cannot wait to see how this story unfolds!
Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare
This month is basically Cassandra Clare month… I mean, Lord of Shadows is coming out and I’m going to be well prepared once I receive my book so I can start reading straight away! I haven’t read this one yet, and everyone is saying I should’ve read this before Lady Midnight. Guess what I just did (at 3AM!)? I ordered it! Woohoo! Now let’s hope I’ll be able to pick it up when I go to Rotterdam on Monday…
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
A reread on my TBR?! Ehm… Yeah! I realised how foggy all the details from Lady Midnight are, so I’m planning a reread. When I got The Mirror King last year I barely remembered anything from The Orphan Queen and it was really disappointing… I won’t make that mistake again!
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare
Let’s hope my preorder won’t get messed up again, because once this releases I’ll be ready to dive straight in! I’m literally going on a Shadowhunters binge and I’m soooo ready! These books are all pretty massive, so wish me luck!
The Beatrix Potter Collection Vol. 1 by Beatrix Potter
Hahahah… This one’s funny! I mean, compared to all the epic YA I mention before! I wanted to start reading classics so I got some Worthwords Children’s Classics to read and ended up getting this one. I absolutely love it, but it’s literally a children’s book (and nothing like The Little Prince – which I got too). I started it months ago and I’m super determined to finally finish this! I should be able to get through this quickly, but I’ve been putting it off.
The House of Stone by Amy Ewing
I read The Jewel a few weeks ago in preparation for Amy’s visit to YALFest in the Netherlands and LOVED it! The Dutch publisher actually published Raven’s novella as an actual physical book, so I couldn’t resist getting it. It’s super short, so it’ll be a nice change from all the tomes I’ll be reading this month!
If I manage to finish this all, I’ll have read about 3000(!!!) pages by the end of the month (according to Goodreads). That’s mad! But I’m so excited! Just looking at the number, I think I’ve given myself an awesome challenge, ha! Wish me luck…
What’s on your May TBR?
