October & Autumn ’17 TBR

Last month I read and listened to 14 books and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. It’s so crazy! Since I was on such a roll on terms of reading, my October TBR was waaaayyyy too ambitious. I still wanted to keep lots of books on there, because last month I didn’t have enough and I think that might’ve ‘helped’ me get into a slump. I decided to make this more of an Autumn TBR, since October is all about Autumn on my blog! Anyway, here’s all the books I plan to read.

Here’s what I read in September.

All The Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater

I hear you ask “Ayla, are you really breaking your book buying ban?” Nope! I got the offer to renew Storytel for only 99 cents and obviously I renewed for a month! And then I almost screamed… Because I could already save All The Crooked Saints to my (in-app) shelf! It’ll be available on the 10th and I just cannot wait to listen to it!

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

When I asked you guys on Twitter what book off my TBR I should read, everyone pretty much shouted THUG! I planned to read it last month, but my slump got in the way… Anyway, I’m quite excited to read this! It seems like such an important book and I cannot wait to dive into the story.

Traveler & Disruptor by Arwen Elys Dayton

I started reading the Seeker trilogy last month and I plan to finish it in October! I was very pleasantly surprised by Seekerย (read my review later this month!) and I really hope they’ll be just as good – if not better – as the first one.

The Diabolic by S.J. Kincaid

Funny story: I got this at a garden centre, hehe! They have a section with ‘damaged’ books that are sold for sometimes over half their original price! I was so surprised they had YA books! I got a Dutch edition of The Diabolic for only โ‚ฌ7,50, but since it wasn’t on my TBR and don’t really know what it’s about, I kept it on the shelf. Until now, of course!

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

This movie was so beautiful I just had to read the book! It’s not the kind of book I’m usually interested in, but I’m really excited to read it! Luckily I don’t remember all that much from the movie, so I should be able to go into it without really knowing much about it.

Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor

Next to my physical TBR, I also have my Kindle TBR. I get daily BookBub emails, and I got a lot of great books for as little as โ‚ฌ1 on sale! I bought a lot before I went on holiday back in June, but I barely read any of them because of the crazy heat! I’m still catching up with them, but like my physical TBR, I’m getting there! I’m really excited about this book and can’t wait to finally read something by Laini Taylor!

The Wrath & The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

I think I got this one on Kindle after my holiday, but I was so excited about this book being on sale because I loved Flame in the Mist and I wanted to read more by Renee! If I manage to finish this book this month, I’ll have read all of both my TBRs! Ah, it’s so crazy to think about!

Eight books feels like so many at the moment, but I’ll be totally okay if I don’t manage to finish them all in October. No pressure!ย And who knows, maybe I might still read more books because I’m getting the best out of my Storytel subscription. I can’t wait to see how far I’ll come!

Yay, so many great books on your TBR. I really loved The Hate U Give, I hope you do too. Me Before You is also one of my favorite books <3 I am very curious about Wrath and the Dawn, I recently bought this book and I can't wait to read it! I really want to read The Secret History by Donna Tartt this month and I bought Moxie which I want to read very soon too.

    • Oohhhhh Moxie sounds great! It doesn’t sound like a book I’d usually pick up, but I usually love them once I do pick them up, haha! I’ll have to check out The Secret History, because I’ve never heard of it but it sounds fun! I can’t wait to finally get to all these books on my TBR! I have no idea what to expect of any of them, hehe!

  • I can’t wait for you to read The Hate U Give, I really LOVED this book, and it is such an important story as well. I hope you’ll enjoy it ๐Ÿ™‚ I already read and really liked Me Before You, and The Wrath and The Dawn is one of my favorite books of all times – I can’t WAIT for you to read it and hopefully love it ๐Ÿ™‚

    Happy reading! xx

    • I’m even more excited to read them all now, hehe! I’m about 70 pages into THUG and I’m loving It a lot so far! Can’t wait to see how it all continues! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • The HATE U GIVE was such a good book! Itโ€™s 100% an important book and itโ€™s told so effortlessly. If you read it now, youโ€™ll be able to watch the movie when it comes out next year ๐Ÿ™‚

    • THUG is definitely important and I think that’s the main reason why I decided to pick it up! I’m also liking it a lot so far. Can’t wait for the movie! ๐Ÿ™‚
