November was a crazy month for me. It was mine and my mom’s birthdays, I had to take care of lots of important things and blogging didn’t really work out for me. I also read quite a few books I just didn’t like at all. It put me in a reading slump and because of it, I even ended up DNF’ing a book! If you’ve been following me for a while, you that’s almost more rare than spotting a unicorn. Almost. Anyway, I’m actually a bit shocked about how much I’ve still managed to read this month!
Here’s what was on my November TBR!
Once And For All by Sarah Dessen
I got the Dutch edition from a publisher and Dutch bookish website because I was chosen to be a VIP reader in a book club! The Dutch edition’s cover is absolutely stunning and it’s a pretty hardback. Of course, what’s inside is more important and luckily I loved it very, very much!
The Night Is Darkening Round Me by Emily Brontë
I was originally going to read a poem a day, since there were 30 and November had 30 days, but I forgot a few days and when I was ‘catching up’ I decided to continue and I read half of it! Then another day I picked it up again to finish the second half. I’d never read poetry before so starting with a classic really wasn’t the right thing to do. I do love poetry, but I didn’t understand any of it, hehe! I’ll probably get back to this sometime later, when I’ve read more classics and poetry.
Enchant by Micalea Smeltzer
I got this ARC off Netgalley and even though it definitely wasn’t the best book, and I saw a lot of similarities to The Mortal Instruments, I enjoyed it a whole lot! I personally wouldn’t spend any money on getting a copy of this book, but I wouldn’t say I really wasted my time or anything. It was alright!
Wolves & Roses by Christina Bauer
This was another ARC I got off Netgalley, and I have to admit I absolutely did not like it. There were definitely elements I loved, but most of the time it was very predictable and strange. It just wasn’t my thing at all!
Forgotten Violets by Martin Niewood
I DNF’ed this book after reading only 40% of it and honestly, I’d already forgotten about it. You all know me DNF’ing a book is extremely rare, but it wasn’t about this one book specifically. I had just read Enchant and Wolves & Roses, which I didn’t like, and a third book I didn’t like was just too much. It was also quite poorly written, and I didn’t enjoy it one bit.
Frost Like Night by Sara Raasch
I’m so incredible happy I read this book! I reread it to try and get out of my reading slump and to review it, and I managed to finish over 90% in one go because I just enjoyed so much! My review will be up very soon and I’m so excited to share it with you guys because I’m so excited about this book!

A Million Worlds With You by Claudia Gray
After finishing Frost Like Night, I felt like I needed to read a book that I knew I loved.
Since I loved rereading FLN so much. I’d been wanting to reread this one for a while, and decided to just do it. I absolutely love the Firebird trilogy, and I’ve read the first book probably like four times! This was the first time I reread A Million Worlds With You, and I still loved it very much.

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
I loved the movie, and lots of people really seemed to love this one. Unfortunately, I’m only kind of meh about it. Me Before You was a nice read, but the crying I expected just didn’t come, which is strange for me because I cry A LOT when reading (sad/emotional) books.
The Diabolic by S.J. Kindcaid
I wasn’t really excited about this book at first, but it turned out to be quite a good one! I read Me Before You and The Diabolic without any intention of reviewing them, as I’ve been reviewing so much over the past few months. It was a lot of fun! I honestly thing I enjoyed this one a bit better because of it. It wasn’t a perfect book by a long shot, but it was just fine. There are some really awesome plot twist in this one and a bunch of really interesting characters!
Before She Ignites by Jodi Meadows
I HAD BEEN WANTING TO READ THIS BOOK FOR SO LONG AAHHH!!! Excuse the shouting, I was just so excited about finally picking up this book! I felt terrible getting my preorder incentive from Jodi because I had to cancel my preorder at the last minute and I couldn’t get the book! I finally managed to get it with some gift cards I got for my birthday, and it was such an incredible book!
Before She Ignites Review Coming Soon!
The Rogue Queen by Emily R. King
This isn’t released until February, but I got an ARC through Netgalley and I wanted to pick it up ASAP. By some miracle, I finished the evening of November 30th. It was alright, and I enjoyed it, but I’m not overly excited about it. My review will be up on Netgalley very soon, but it won’t be up on the blog until its release date.
I’m not reading anything at the moment! I’m finishing this blog post right after reading The Rogue Queen and I won’t be picking up a new book until tomorrow or maybe even Saturday, depending what I’m in the mood for on Friday night.
What did you read in November? Any book you enjoyed in particular?
