My Bookish Christmas Wishlist

It has been absolutely ages since I last made an actual wishlist. I remember when I was little, me and my little brother would go through the toy store’s catalogue to circle the things we wanted for the Dutch holiday Sinterklaas and Christmas. Still to this day, I take a quick look at the catalogue when it falls on the doormat. I guess I’m sentimental, hehe! Anyway, Christmas is close and for the firs time in forever, I’m making a Christmas wishlist! Spoiler alert: it only has books.

The reason my list only has books is quite simple: I told my mom I didn’t want anything for Christmas (I have SO MUCH already!) But she still wanted to get me something anyway, so we made a deal; I’d make a wishlist, and she’d get me some books. Anyway, here’s what’s on my Christmas Wishlist!

Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone Illustrated Edition by J.K. Rowling I’ve been wanting this one before I had even read the “normal/original” book and, honestly, I think it’s the reason I decided to pick up the Harry Potter series in the first place (I didn’t want to wait years for all the illustrated books to be released)! It would be such an incredible gift to get for Christmas because I can really see myself sit down near the Christmas tree with a nice cup of tea and a blanket to read this book.

An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson This is by far my most anticipated 2017 debut and I can’t believe it’s not on my shelf yet! Unfortunately, I had to cancel my preorder right before it came out and I’m kind of just waiting to finally get it ever since, hehe!

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas I think this is the most surprising one on the list because how in the hell don’t I own this already?! Well, another case of “I had to cancel my preorder.” Ugh, guys, I’m still devastated. Chaol is one of my favourite characters in the Throne of Glass series and the fact that I haven’t been able to pick it up makes me so sad!

A Darker Shade of Magic Collector’s Edition by V.E. Schwab I have all the Shades of Magic books in my Kindle app, but I loved them so much I just want them on my shelf. I love the Collector’s Edition, but for some reason I’m terrified it will sell out and that’s why I decided to put it on my wishlist. I feel like I can always still get the “normal” hardback once I collect the other two books in the trilogy, hahah!

Geekerella by Ashley Posten Looking at this list, Geekerella is like the odd duck of the family. I got the audiobook when it was an Audible Daily Deal and it was so incredible! I honestly consider this one of my all time favourite contemporaries. Obviously, I need it on my shelf.

Shadow & Bone Trilogy Box Set by Leigh Bardugo To be completely honest: I’ve never read anything my Leigh Bardugo. I wasn’t really all that interested in her books until I heard how much everyone loved it and the new editions of Shadow & Bone came out! I recently found there’s a box set with the new editions and it’s veryyyyy high on my wishlist because it’s beautiful and I don’t own a box set yet! (Plus, I just really want to read all of these soooo bad!)

Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling I haven’t read all of the Harry Potter series yet, but I really want to finish it next year! I’ve read up until Order of the Phoenix, so it’s now time for the Half-Blood Prince! I’ve seen the movie, but I really cannot wait to read the book.

Because You Love To Hate Me Anthology by Ameriie This anthology is a collaboration between 13 authors and 13 BookTubers, and it’s all about villains! Authors like Victoria Schwab and Renée Ahieh have written stories for this book. Honestly, it would just be so wonderful to have this book and read a short story every once in a while!

Dutch Edition of The White Rose by Amy Ewing I got The Jewel in Dutch earlier this year because the Dutch publisher also published House of Stone in a beautiful paperback edition. The White Rose came out recently and I’d actually really like to know how this series continues! Plus, the covers in this series just look so beautiful!

The Midnight Heir Gift Edition by Cassandra Clare You might have completely missed this, but there’s a Gift Editon for The Midnight Heir from the Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare! I read the eBook on Scribd last year, but I don’t own it yet. This gift edition is just a small, cute square and it’s perfect to receive as a gift!

What’s on your Christmas Wishlist this year? Anything other than books? Hehe!
