Truthwitch by Susan Dennard had stared at me countless times from bookstore shelfs until I recently finally decided to pick up the eBook. I fell in love instantly and then the wonderful Kelly @ Live, Love, Read announced she was hosting a Sightwitch blog tour! Anyway, I really love Pinterest boards and the Witchlands’ books aesthetics are so, so, SO WONDERFUL, so basically just I couldn’t not make a Pinterest board… Here it is!
It was my first time working with Sections on this Pinterest board, and I actually quite liked it! I don’t think I’ll be using it again for book series boards, but it was a fun little test. I divided the board into a Truthwitch and a Sightwitch section (and I’ll be adding Windwitch and Bloodwitch sections later!) The board is definitely a huge work in progress but I hope you like it anyway!
Although we’re celebrating the release of Sightwitch during this blog tour, I had to add a Truthwitch section to the board because I love it so, so much! And it’s the first book in the series so… It just made sense? Anyway, I was surprised by how much of the book takes places on/near the ocean! I chose cool colours like grey and blue for the imagines and obviously it has lots of marine/boat/water related images, just like badass girls with swords and daggers!
I haven’t read much of Sightwitch (only what was in the digital sampler I got off Netgalley!) but I got a good sense of the books vibe and it’s great! It takes place in a convent on a mountain and in an actual mountain itself – which is super cool – so obviously this section of the boards has lots of beautiful cathedrals/convents and mountains! Of course we can’t forget about The Rook..!
Before Safi and Iseult battled a Bloodwitch…
Before Merik returned from the dead…
Ryber Fortiza was a Sightwitch Sister at a secluded convent, waiting to be called by her goddess into the depths of the mountain. There she would receive the gift of foretelling. But when that call never comes, Ryber finds herself the only Sister without the Sight.
Years pass and Ryber’s misfit pain becomes a dull ache, until one day, Sisters who already possess the Sight are summoned into the mountain, never to return. Soon, Ryber is the only Sister left. Now, it is up to her to save her Sisters, though she does not have the Sight — and though she does not know what might await her inside the mountain.
On her journey underground, she encounters a young captain named Kullen Ikray, who has no memory of who he is or how he got there. Together, the two travel ever deeper in search of answers, their road filled with horrors, and what they find at the end of that road will alter the fate of the Witchlands forever.
About Susan Dennard
I’ve come a long way from small-town Georgia. Working in marine biology, I got to travel the world—six out of seven continents, to be exact (I’ll get to you yet, Asia!)—before I settled down as a full-time novelist and writing instructor.
I’m the author of the Something Strange and Deadly series as well as the New York Times bestselling Witchlands books, Truthwitch and Windwitch, and if I’m not writing, then I’m busy slaying darkspawn or earning bruises at the dojo.
