Well, hello everyone! I feel like I haven’t written anything new in FOREVER!? I actually haven’t been reading all that much either… Anyway, more on blog and life things in a bit! I want to introduce you to my new monthly feature: The Bookish Bulletin. I used to have a separate TBR, wrap up and monthly personal update (Behind the Books) and I realised how much work that actually is? I also read a lot of these kinds of “combined” wrap ups and I loved them so much, I tried to do it myself! It’s still a bit of a work in progress, but I hope you’ll enjoy reading this (somewhat very long?) post! Read more
Hey guys, I hope you don’t mind I was a liiiiittle bit late announcing the upcoming prompts for the International Bookworms meme! It’s been a real struggle coming up with ideas lately and I have to admit I lost my excitement about it for a little while. There’s an announcement about that at the bottom of this post, so please take some time to read it! Anyway, today’s prompt is “Change of Scenery”. Imagine your favourite book, except it’s set in your own country or area! How cool would that be? I’ve taken a few books and “changed” their setting to the Netherlands. I hope you’ll enjoy it! It’s been a little while since I did a Waiting on Wednesday post, so I’m really excited to share this one with you guys today! Bruja Born by Zoraida Córdova is a sequel/companion novel to Labyrinth Lost and it’s gloriously witchy! Want to know why I’m so excited about the release of this book? Keep on reading! Read more
Since I’ve been busy with things for my blogiversary and work, and my TBR is rather small, I’ve decided to combine my wrap up and TBR this month. I’ve read a lot more than I thought I would in April and now I’m left with only a few unread books on my shelf. I’m so excited to finally finish them! I’m quite the stressed-out reader when I have too many unread books on my shelf, but I’m finally getting on top of things again! Anyway, here’s what I read in April, what I’m currently reading, and what’s on my May TBR!
Holy. Moly. Can you even believe that two years ago, I sat down and created this blog? Because, seriously, I can’t. I’ve had so many blogs over the past maybe like ten years. I blogged on them for about a month or two and then “gave up” and I was always hoping I wouldn’t quit Books & Babbles too soon but I never expected to still be blogging two years later. It’s insane! I’ve thought it would be fun to look back on the past year or so. And to celebrate, I decided to host a fun little bookish giveaway! Read more
Back when I was still a newbie book blogger, I did bookish discussions and called them “Book Babbles.” After I got back from my hiatus, I kind of let go of that name and just came up with individual titles for discussions, but I recently read a bunch of them for new blogging inspiration and to see if any of my opinions had changed and I realised my audiobooks post could use a part two! Hence why I decided to revisit my Book Babble and do a new discussion post on audiobooks! Read more
Oh my, oh my! We’re so close to the release of Legendary! Stephanie Garber’s Caraval is one of my all-time favourite books and I’m so glad we’re getting a sequel. Can we just take a minute to appreciate how beautiful these two covers look, by the way?! WOW-WEE! They’re going to look so good together on my shelves! Anyway, you probably came here for the Waiting on Wednesday post, and not my fangirling, so let’s get on with it! Read more
Thank goodness for the ability to schedule posts in advance, because I’m currently in Germany and I just couldn’t wait to share this month’s Behind the Books! March and April have been the best in terms of blogging. Besides blogging, life was pretty crazy as well. I mean, I visited like two colleges in one month and then I signed up for one and…. *breathes* Oh, and I NEED to tell you about my obsession with The Greatest Showman because I am OBSESSED. (In case you hadn’t noticed.) Anyway, I hope you’ll enjoy today’s post!
A little while ago, I got the best email! I was asked to join the blog tour for Lexa Hillyer’s Winter Glass and oh my goodness, I might’ve just screamed. YAY. YAY. YAY!!! I absolutely LOVED Spindle Fire when I listened to the audiobook last year and Winter Glass was one of my most anticipated releases. I got to read it earlier and I got to ask author Lexa Hillyer some questions! Read her answers down below. Read more
Even though I am a HUGE fantasy enthusiast and mainly blog about fantasy, I love making exceptions for the other books I love or books that I’m just really excited about. In this week’s Waiting on Wednesday, I want to talk a contemporary: A Lite Too Bright by Samuel Miller.
