#BeatTheBacklist 2018 | Update #1

Hey guys! We’re three months (and a few days) into the new year and I thought it would be fun to do an update on the Beat The Backlist Reading Challenge! Although I’m surprised by the amount of 2018 releases I’ve been reading, I’m still reading quite a lot of backlist books and it’s so exciting to finally “catch up” with popular books I hadn’t read before. It’s quite easy to find out what I’ve been up to in terms of reading, but I’ve decided to focus on the backlist books in this post. Happy reading! Read more

Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo | I Finally Read a Grisha Book!

WOW-WEE! It has literally taken me for-e-ver to finally pick up a Leigh Bardugo book. But I finally did it! I gotta be honest with you, I was never really that interested in the Grishaverse. Strangely, though, I can’t really explain why! These books had never been on my TBR before and I don’t think I’d ever actually read the synopsis of Shadow & Bone before I decided to pick up the box set. Also, they’re just the kind of books you naturally go through without any effort. I’m so excited! anyway,  here’s my April TBR. Read more

Finishing Harry Potter… | My Experience Reading the Books

In March 2016, I bought my first Harry Potter book on a whim. In January, nearly two years later, I started reading the last one.  I grew up with the movies and loved them but I had never read the books before. It was such a wonderful journey, and I decided to dedicate a blog post to it. I haven’t actually finished the final book yet because I had to prioritise some other books for blogging and such. This post is not really about finishing Deathly Hallows and the series, though. It’s about my experience reading this books over the last two years. Read more
