The Cruel Prince by Holly Black | An Interesting New Take on Faeries

If it’s a faerie book, I have to pick it up. I am obsessed and need them all, pretty much. When The Cruel Prince was released, it was everywhere. I couldn’t go on Twitter without seeing something on this book. I was never really interested (although it IS a faerie book! Shame on me!), but then the hype made me do it and when I went to Rotterdam in January, I decided to pick it up! But… Did I read the same book as everyone else?

The Rogue Queen by Emily R. King | Would’ve Been the Perfect End

The Rogue Queen is the third book in the Hundredth Queen series by Emily R. King. It’s a series I didn’t really like at first but grew to like over the course of the second book. When I requested the book on Netgalley, I had no clue whether or not I’d like it at all! I usually don’t request books if I feel about them this way, but I decided to give it a shot and I’m glad I did. I’m not super in love with the story, but it was a nice read anyway. As always, my review is completely spoiler free! Read more

International Bookworms: My Favourite International Bookish People

The International Bookworms meme was created by me at the beginning of this year to support and connect international bloggers. It’s all about sharing the love of our favourite international bookish people and obviously, I’ve linked to some of my favourite book blogs! Read more

Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh | Yay for Necromancers!

Remember when I did a Waiting on Wednesday post on Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh? I was just so excited about this book! I mean, the main character is a necromancer and there’s #OwnVoices bisexual rep. How cool is that?! Way before I even got my Audible credit, I knew what I’d be spending it on. I listened to the audiobook and I loved it a whole lot. Anyway, let’s get on with the review, it feels way overdue already!

Through Portals & Down Rabbit Holes | Book Recommendations!

I love reading recommendations post. There’s nothing more fun than finding a book similar to a book I loved to read! I love recommending books myself, but I feel like I suck at it. Like, what if I’m the only one who things this book is like that other one? What if it doesn’t make sense? I thought I’d just give it a shot and see what happens. Today’s recommendation post is all about portal fantasies!  Read more

Down The TBR Hole

Down The TBR Hole is a meme created by the wonderful Lia @ Lost In A Story and I honestly wish I’d known about it sooner! Sometime last year – or even the year before that – I suddenly got very overwhelmed by the state of my TBR. It wasn’t manageable anymore and I couldn’t really tell what I actually wanted to read and what I was once interested it. A little while ago I discovered exclusive shelves and that changed my life! But still, I’ll always be working on my ever-changing TBR. That’s why I’ll be going down my TBR hole today! Read more

To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo | The Little Mermaid With Sirens?!

Today is an incredible day for releases. Last week, I shared my five-star review of Children of Blood & Bone and today, I’m sharing my review of another different, but incredible book: To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo. It’s a book about a siren princess and a siren-killing crown prince, inspired by The Little Mermaid. It’s one of the best books I’ve read so far this year, and here’s my spoiler free review!
