In preparation of the release of Lord of Shadows, I decided to read Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy before rereading Lady Midnight. I’ve heard many people say that this companion to TMI is best read before the Dark Artifices, and I have to agree. I’m so glad I read this book! These 10 stories are so valuable to TDA. It’s not necessary to read them all, but I really suggest you do! Beware of SPOILERS in this review!
Most of us probably know that the Shadowhunter Chronicles was adapted as a movie, and later for TV, right? If you didn’t, don’t worry. This post has all you need to know. I actually started reading the books because of the movie. And I watched the movie because the TV show was happening… It’s a long story I’ll save for another day, let’s just dive straight into it the Shadowhunters movie & TV show! Read more
Lady Midight is the first book in the Dark Artifices trilogy by Cassandra Clare. It’s part of the Shadowhunter Chronicles and takes place five years after the events of City of Heavenly Fire. It features some of the characters we already met in the last Mortal Instruments book, plus some new characters! I was so excited to dive back into the Shadow World! Although I have to admit, I don’t think I ever really left. Anyway, here’s what I think about this new Shadowhunter book!
City of Heavenly Fire the sixth and final book in the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I have to admit, reading the last three books in the series was a little painful. They weren’t as good as the first three! I’m glad I still managed to finish the series! Read all about City of Heavenly Fire in my last spoiler free Mortal Instruments review.
City of Lost Souls is part five of the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I was a little intimidated by the length of it, especially since my rather negative thoughts about City of Fallen Angels, but I really enjoyed the book! It’s one of the best books in the Mortal Instruments. I hope you enjoy my spoiler free review!
The Shadowhunter Chronicles continue with City of Fallen Angels, part four in the Mortal Instruments series. I read the books in Cassandra Clare’s recommended order, which means I read The Infernal Devices after City of Glass. I’m glad to go back to reading the Mortal Instruments. My reviews are spoiler free, so safe to read even if you haven’t read City of Fallen Angels yet! Read more
Clockwork Princess was fantastic and it has left my emotions all over the place. It’s everything a trilogy finale should be, maybe even more. The Infernal Devices was wrapped up perfectly and I’m happy I got to read such an amazing trilogy. As always, my review is spoiler free! Read more
The Infernal Devices continues with it’s second book: Clockwork Prince! So far, this trilogy from the Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare is one of my favourites. Clockwork Prince is an amazing book with a great story. After reading Clockwork Angel, I was a bit scared of its sequel, but I’m glad I picked it up. It changed my mind about the entire trilogy. Enjoy my spoiler free review! Read more
I wasn’t actually planning on reading the Shadowhunter Chronicles in Cassandra Clare’s order, but my bookshop didn’t have City of Fallen Angels so I got Clockwork Angel instead! Not that I mind though, it’s a nice little break from The Mortal Instruments. I was really interested in the setting, Victorian London. I had never read anything historical like this, so it was a fun read! My review is spoiler free, as always! Read more
City of Glass is the third book in the Mortal Instruments series and definitely my new favourite book. If you thought City of Bones and City of Ashes were good, just wait until you’ve read this one! I was going to slow down reading the TMI series, but I just couldn’t wait any longer and got the book. I hope you enjoy my spoiler free review of City of Glass. Read more
